Oaktree Montessori is a small-group-sized playschool in Bergvliet, Cape Town, for 18 months to 6-year-olds.

We offer a wide variety of activities for role play, developmental and sensory play, as well as nature appreciation.
We have an indoor-outdoor classroom (children move freely between inside and outside) plus a larger garden with a jungle gym, treehouse (grounded), bike area, and two organic veg patches which the children tend to.
In addition to the Montessori activities we offer:
Exploring different mediums and making simple crafts
Gentle movements to refine co-ordination
Experiments and hands-on discovery
Exploring movement with different genres of music
Gardening, sprouting seeds, and learning about animals

The Montessori approach follows the child’s natural development with an in-depth understanding of their physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Each child is seen as an individual and the curriculum follows their pace and unique interests.
